Casting Kasab by Ritesh Uttamchandani

It is almost impossible for any of us to forget the night of 26/11/2008, and the events that unfolded in the days later. It is equally impossible to not notice how a tragedy of that magnitude has transformed certain places of Bombay into tourist destinations, some made fortunes by organizing protests, while some just burnt lots of candles. Candle makers prospered like never before. In the midst of all of this, one production house has started recreating the entire tragedy for the multiplexes.  Starring unknown and talentless actors, producers Hariom Sharma and Anand Pandhare hired Surinder Suri to direct the first film on the terror strikes. The story of Total Ten revolves around Rajan Verma, who plays the role of Kasab, the only surviving terrorist, and how they all came, what they did, etc etc, basically, all the things we already know!
The movie may not get released till the trial of Kasab is over.
Heartlessly made, the movie had some bizarre moments, which are depicted in the following images.

These images were taken for the Open Magazine.

I think this is a brilliant idea which could hav been turned into something much bigger in terms of society cashing in on the 26/11 attacks, but the photographs lack creativity in terms of being visually striking. they just look like stills of a c grade films…

@ karen – it is a c-grade film, lacking creativity and any kind of style or visible interaction and chemistry between the crew, one has to either read the captions or my piece in the magazine. Honestly, there were times when I sincerely thought this story would have been much better in video form.
@ rajiv and kanika – glad u liked the images.
@ gudus – will try and live up to your expectations sir!
