As they ARE – Aditya Kapoor

As they ARE

Keeping in mind the recent terror activity that India and the world has been witness to, we, and I mean we all, have a preconceived notion of Muslims as a community. Just images of them invoke terror in people. I had the opportunity to photograph portraits of Muslim individuals in such a setting that even the most biased people will laugh at the light-heartedness. Sets decorated with plastic flowers, wallpapers screaming of gaudy colours and life-size cut-outs of Bollywood stars for partners; so much colour and yet photographs in black and white. It is a true representation of who they are and how we see them.

This is a very intriguing portrait of the man. Th photographer has captured this other wise tough man in a incredibly vulnerable moment.
    Incredible..

The men holding hands, the camaraderie muslims share is unique.
